People First Federal Credit Union is More Than Talk with the Greater PA MORE THAN PINK Walk

People First Credit Federal Union is doing just that, putting people first as the official Community Sponsor of the Komen Greater PA MORE THAN PINK Walk.

Founded on the philosophy of “People Helping People,” People First supports communities and encourages its employees to get involved in the worthwhile causes that are meaningful, fun and provide an engaging experience with others.

Having witnessed the effects of breast cancer on some of their members and employees, People First committed to taking action and making a world without breast cancer a priority. It is launching a Wellness and Engagement Committee to strengthen community involvement while driving organizational success, and its More Than Pink Planning Committee is focused on strengthening employee engagement and fundraising efforts. “We are offering a free group lunch prize for the branch and the support department that raises the most money and there will be additional prizes (and bragging rights) for individuals who achieve certain fundraising goals!”

As a first-time MORE THAN PINK Walk team, People First already surpassed its goal of raising $5,000! They are excited to receive their official MORE THAN PINK Walk shirts and showcase their community spirit with friends and family by walking in a local park together on Mother’s Day, May 9th.

Without companies like People First Credit Union, actively sponsoring and inspiring employees to give back to the community, the 2021 Komen Greater PA MORE THAN PINK Walk on Sunday, May 9th would not be possible! While we may not be able to walk side-by-side, we can come together virtually to share our stories, support one another, and raise money to save lives. It takes all of us working together to help those most in need!
