Lax For The Cure-Fall Showcase Raises $75,000!
Over $4 Million Raised in the Fight Against Breast Cancer!
In 2007, three mothers of the STEPS Lacrosse club were diagnosed with breast cancer. Inspired by their strength, Jessica and Charlie Shoulberg started Lax For The Cure to bring awareness to breast cancer while also raising funds to help fight the disease. Since 2007, Lax For The Cure and its players from across the country have raised over $4 million!!
This year, Lax For The Cure celebrated its 15th anniversary by raising $385,000 during their Summer Showcase! This past weekend, LAX teams from all across the country came together to empower each other through games of lacrosse and fundraising during the Fall Showcase, raising another $75,000!
Those who raised the most were eligible to win gift cards for their efforts, and one lucky player won highly coveted Taylor Swift tickets!
Susan G. Komen thanks everyone for their time and effort dedicated to fundraising in order to drive more research breakthroughs, provide more patient care, unify more communities through education and awareness, and amplify our voice through advocacy.
