Join us on Tuesday, April 5 at 5:00 PM for our Komen Breast Cancer Education Series — Am I High Risk and What Does That Mean? featuring Geisinger. This event will be moderated by Jacqueline Oxenberg, DO and our panel of experts will consist of Mary Wolf PA-C, MPAS, Tatianie Jackson, MD, and Rachel Schwiter, MGC, CGC.

We will start this free virtual event with networking, followed by the panel discussing what high risk for breast cancer means and how it is determined, screening options, and how being high risk is considered when building a treatment plan.

Associate Program Director for Northeast General Surgery Residency Program
Jacqueline Oxenberg, DO an Associate in Surgical Oncology, Director of the NAPBC (National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancer) at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and is also an Associate Program Director for the Geisinger Northeast General Surgery Residency where she oversees resident research as well as mentorship. She is board certified in General Surgery and completed a Fellowship in Complex Surgical Oncology. She is also a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Surgery (FACOS) and Fellow of the American College of Surgery (FACS). In addition to being a practicing Surgical Oncologist and Breast Surgeon treating a variety of cancers and breast diseases, her above roles include overseeing high-quality care is provided for our patients with breast diseases and cancers. She has numerous publications and presentations associated with cancer care and is on multiple committees at Geisinger, working with teams to provide world-class care for cancer patients.

Mary Wolf, PA-C, MPAS
Surgical Oncology/Breast Advanced Practitioner
Mary Wolf is a licensed Physician Assistant working in Surgical Oncology with a specialization in High Risk/Inherited Risk Breast. She completed her training at Saint Francis University in 2010. At Geisinger, she provides personalized breast cancer risk assessments and surveillance specific to that risk. Mary successfully completed The City of Hope Intensive Course in Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment in 2022. She is also a member of the National Consortium of Breast Centers and The American Society of Clinical Oncology. Additionally, Mary is involved in research projects within the Geisinger Surgical Institute and has given several professional lectures regarding breast cancer risk.

Tatianie Jackson, MD
Associate Diagnostic Radiology, Geisinger Wyoming Valley
Tatianie Jackson, MD is a double-boarded breast imaging and nuclear medicine associate radiologist at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She is also co-chair of the Inclusion Diversity Equity Alliance for the Society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Jackson’s passions are, promoting diversity and inclusion across the field of medicine as well as educating patients on breast screening and breast health literacy. Dr. Jackson has been involved in numerous outreach events regarding mammogram, ultrasound and breast MRI education for health care providers. For example, hosting webinars for organizations such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Society of Breast Imaging, Mattapan Community Health Center and Geisinger.

Rachel Schwiter, MGC, CGC
Licensed, Board Certified Genetic Counselor II
Cancer Genetics Risk Assessment Clinic
MyCode Genomic Screening & Counseling Program
Rachel Schwiter, MGC, CGC is a licensed, board certified genetic counselor with a specialization in cancer genetics. At Geisinger, she provides clinical genetic counseling services in the Cancer Genetics Risk Assessment Clinic and the MyCode Genomic Screening and Counseling Program. She is involved in various research studies focusing on outcomes of MyCode participants who are found to carry a genetic risk factor as well as family communication of genetic risk. Rachel completed her genetic counseling training at the University of Maryland Baltimore in 2017.
