A special thank you to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center for hosting a Pink Pathway at the Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA on Sunday, May 8!

This year’s walk consisted of a 1.3-mile walking trail serving as an informal meet-up spot for individuals and teams to walk at their own convenience throughout the day.

The Pink Pathway welcomed over 20 people including Geisinger employees and their families, and community members including Mrs. Pennsylvania International, Linda Zaneski. Linda was very excited about being able to join the Pink Pathway: “I try to get out in the community and do whatever I can…I signed up to walk virtually, but they told me I could come here. … It’s awesome that I could get out and be here.” [source: The Times Leader].

Walkers were able to pick up their t-shirts and other fun items, informational material regarding breast cancer treatment and the disease itself.

Thank you Geisinger for hosting a Susan G. Komen Pink Pathway!!

Fundraising and donations are being accepted until June 5 at : komen.org/eastpawalk or komen.org/westpawalk
