At Wawa, our purpose has always been fulfilling lives, every day. To us, this doesn’t just mean filling orders in store — it also means becoming an involved community partner, helping to champion causes close to the hearts of our associates, customers and community members.

For many past Mother’s Days, Wawa has taken part in a wonderful celebration of hope during the Susan G. Komen Philadelphia More Than Pink walk. And it is our pleasure to continue our support in unique ways for 2021!

To all of us at Wawa, the event has long been an inspiring and empowering day. Hundreds of Wawa associate volunteers come together to serve thousands of cups of coffee and bakery items to show support for those committed to this incredible cause — finding a cure for breast cancer. For many Wawa associates who have participated in Race for the Cure, the cause is a personal one. And in some cases, they drive several hours, or come together as teams or families to participate. Our shared values drive us to want to do more for our communities and those we care about. We are incredibly proud of the support our associates have provided and the role we have played through the years.

Continued Passion for the Cause

In addition to supporting this iconic annual event, Wawa and The Wawa Foundation make financial contributions to important programs that support cancer patients and survivors. In addition to our “Pillar of Care” sponsorship this year, we are proud to make a commitment to the Komen Treatment Assistance Program to support those receiving care with essential needs so they can focus more on their treatment. We know the important role Komen plays in delivering these vital services to those battling breast cancer, and we are honored to play a role.

And so, while we will miss seeing everyone in person again this year, we will continue this important Mother’s Day tradition virtually in support of More Than Pink Pennsylvania in a number of ways — with Wawa volunteers walking on their own, with coupons for participants to fuel their local walks with a cup of coffee, and with our heartfelt thanks for joining this important effort to fight breast cancer together!

On behalf of Wawa and our 37,000 associates, we are proud to support Komen More than Pink Greater PA Walk 2021!
